The Super Eagles are expected to arrive in Volgograd Russia on Thursday, June 21 ahead of their second Group D match of the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup which holds at the Volgograd Arena on Friday, June 22, livingtvglobal.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian team returned to their team base camp in Essentuki on Sunday after losing their first match 2-1 to Croatia last Saturday in Kaliningrad.
Weather in Volgograd is expected to be clement one on Friday at 34 degrees celsius, which will suit the Nigerian players. It has been an ideal weather for the Eagles this week with the outside temperature at 32 and 34 degrees celsius on Tuesday and Wednesdayrespectively. On Thurday, when the Eagles are expected to arrive from Essentuki, Volgograd is expected to be warm with clear skies at 33 degrees celsius.
The Super Eagles are currently at the bottom of Group D log with no point after the 2-0 defeat to Croatia who lead the group with three point. Iceland and Argentina are on one point apiece following their opening Group D draw.
